Designer Suzanne Pepper's New Spring Line

Spring has finally arrived,daylight savings time `n all. And for most of us girls . . . that also means time to spruce up the wardrobe. So in the spirit of "out with the old and in with the new" . . . Suzanne Pepper unveiled her Spring 2000 TropiCouture resortwear collection.

The location for the event was Coconut Beach Resort, a beautiful time share property nestled between the Casa Marina and Louie's Backyard. With the turquois Atlantic ocean for a backdrop, relaxing brazilian music provided by Pat Lawler and Joe Pepper . . . champagne flowing and sun shining, the show began.

Resort and specially invited local guests were guided turough the collection by MC Audrey Samz-Liggins. Suzanne's lovely models presented new trends for the season such as light airy dresses in bright floral or Polinesian prints, tissue silk skirts with vintage silk scarf halter tops, vintage print loose fit tropical shirts for guys,and even some unusual ways to go for evening.

The whole collection was topped off and complimented by gorgeous hats from Key West Madhatter.

TropiCouture's tearoom style fashion shows are a fun and relaxing way to shop and have been a successful formula for this local designer. If you want to see the collection for yourself , you can stop in at TropiCouture (the Boutique) at The Harbor Walk Shoppes on Lazy Way, 205 Elizabeth and Green streets. The Madhatter is located at the Hilton Resort and Marina on Front street. Owners Dorcas and Whit Robertson will be delighted to show you their collection of hats that range from casual beachwear to well known designers from around the world,such as Helen Kaminski of Australia and Eric Javits of New York.

Suzanne and Dorcas will also be presenting a fashion show at the Hilton in the courtyard on Sunday April 9th at 3pm. See you there!!
